Find Family
I'am looking into my grannys side if the family the Kimich's they came from wuttemburg in Germany to England in the 1800's and all four brothers were watch makers, have found one or two little puzzle's. My granny was born 4/5/1900 in chicago ridge illinois usa but in 1901 she was living with her grandfather in forgie hill scotland, while her parents lived in hemel hempstead & then in 1904 & 1906 had two more daughters, monica & helen (babs) and they did not know that they had an older sister. Monica was a film editor from the 1930's to about 1960 she was top of her field even more so being a woman.Don't know much about babs. There father Joseph Kimich was doing really well before the 1stww then one day in 1915 he walked out of his office and jumped in front of a train, people thought he did it because of the german connection but he was a special bobby guarding the gas works and he was born in England,it looks like his wife Isobel had money problems, the jewellery shop was sold but isobel sent some box's to my granny her daughter and told her to hold on to them, then after six months isobel asked for the box,s back, now we think the box's had jewellery inside, cause isobel seemed to have a nice house?
