I am searching for descendants of John Robertson who came to Pictou County ,Nova Scotia from Beauly - Parish of Kilmorack- Scotland in 1784. Thanks to W.R. Robertson,Goderich,Ont. and L.B.Robertson,Chatham,N.B. I have a lot of data on the first three generations of John’s family. This includes approximately 150 names from generation three who would have been born between 1870 and 1900. My paternal grandparents are only two from this group. I have very little information on descendants from the others. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who thinks they may also be descended from John R. Of course surnames change as daughters marry. Many common other surnames which came into the family are: Fraser, Grant, McKay (or MacKay) , McKenzie, McGregor, Dunbar, Campbell, Ives,Forbes, Wardrobe, Roderick, Cameron, Rood, and Harris.
In addition to Robertson data, I also have information on descendants of George Ives -Nottingham,England , Thomas Harris-Elizabethtown,Pa , Alexander MacKay -Beauly,Scotland, and John Grant-Urquhart,Scotland. All settled in Pictou County,Nova Scotia in the late 1700’s. I am willing to share all of the above. All the data in “Family Tree Maker” format.
