My Leigh and Davis Family ConnectionsUpdated September 6, 2000 |
We are searching for the family of Thomas Woodford Davis, b 1838 in MO, possibly Pulaski Co. He married Mahala Jane Cook in 1860 in Taney Co., MO. Thomas was in the civil war. Thomas' homestead claim was finalized in 1891 for land in Christian Co., MO. Thomas and Mahala had 8 children, one of them being Lennie or Lenna Davis, my great-grandmother. Lenna was born in 1875 in MO and married William Davis Leigh. They had two children, Rosie Bell and Tony Oliver Leigh. Lenna died at the age of 25. Rosie first married Roy HENRY and they had a daughter named Eva. Tony first married Roy's sister, Rose HENRY and they had a daughter. The grand-daughter of Tony LEIGH and Rose HENRY is desparately seeking the family members on the HENRY side of her family. William Leigh's parents were Richard Leigh and Mary Green, both born in TN. They were married in 1860 in Carroll Co., TN. We would love to know who both their parents are. |
