Crutchfield Kinnections

I am compiling a data base of the Crutchfield's in the southern states, hoping to unravel the mysteries of the many John's in the family.
My connections is from the John Crutchfield that married Sarah Statham and resided in Georgia. The Children of John and Sarah were cared for by Meredith Statham after their deaths. After the boys reached adult ages and married they all moved to the Dale County, AL area then into Holmes County, FL
There has been many different tales about their father, John, that makes it difficult to determine where and when he died.
I do know that Meredith Crutchfield died in 1856 in Holmes or Jackson COunty, FL. Thomas died in Geneva County and John Jr. died in Graceville, Jackson County, FL
