Joseph B Tuggey (1847-1923) emigrated to the US in 1850, married Frances Marion Bailey (1846-1924) of Mexico, NY on 22 April 1869 in Oswego, NY. Joseph worked as a loom operator in textile mills throughout his life accounting for his bent posture. They lived for a time in Enfield, MA, the current site of Quabbin Reservoir near Ware, MA.
