Alfred apparently remarried after the death of his wife in 1858. A letter from "Auntie Perham" from Oswego, New York is dated Friday Feb /87 (sic) to her niece, Frances, Alfred's daughter. It refers to a loving Mother (Angeline Gates) but then to "your Father's wife" the possessions of whom Alfred "has given out and out to strangers". This situation brought comfort to Auntie Perham who seemed to delight in the thought that the second Mrs Bailey would end up with nothing.[Robison Family Master File.FTW]
