He married (1) Elizabeth M Newton on Bef. 1838. He married (2) Susan Freeman Newton on 06 Dec 1854 in Enfield, Massachusetts^{368, 369}.

Notes for Calvin Harvey Bassett:
Calvin H Bassett is one of many family members who died prior to the construction of Quabbin Reservoir which, when built, caused the dissolution of the towns of Enfield, Prescott, Dana and Greenwich Massachusetts. Many of the Bassett's were originally interred in the church cemeteries of the local towns only to be reinterred between 1934 and 1937. Edward H Bassett was listed as being the lot representative on many of the burial records.
