I, of course, am research the ROBERTSONs, when I'm not busy researching other peoples lines.
Duncan Robertson, b. 1755 in Scotland, was arrested for his Loyalty in Albany County, New York. He escaped prision and went to Canada and joined General Burgoyne's Army in the Revolutionarty War. When General Burgoyne surrended, Duncan was imprisioned again. He returned to Canada and settled on the Gaspe Penninsular in Quebec in what is now the town of New Richmond, Bonaventure Co. Quebec.

Duncan had a brother, Hugh, who was born about 1775, and joined Duncan in New Richmond.

I have spent over twenty years looking for my Robertsons. I also have Colonial Ancestry on other lines, Mayflower Ancestry, Revolutionary Soldiers on both sides of the War. Union Soldiers in the Civil War. 20th century Portuguese Imigrants to Massachusetts and Royal and Noble Lineages in Europe. A very diverse background.
