Valentine Leonard "Valentin Leonhardt (I) ws born at Katzenbach, in the Electorate of Paletine, ("in der Kuhr Pfaltz in Katenbach"), October 13, 1718; died in Rowan County, North Carolina, November 13, 1781. (See "Centennial History of Davidson County, North Carolina, pp. 232-251) "This man was a Revoluntionary war patriot and came to his death at the hand of Tories following his services in the armies of America.
