I am researching the name "Bowdler" and would be grateful for any information. I have not been able to connect my Grandfather a Percy Edwin Bowdler as yet to the Bath Bowdlers - Thomas Bowdler 1754 - 1825 [author of The Family Shakespeare in 1818 born near Bath and buried in Wales or his older brother John 1746 - 1823. I have been able to trace my branch to the late 1400's, can you help fill in the gaps, I am willing to exchange what little information I have. |
