| I am looking for any information on "Owen" from Western NC or "Merck" from Pickens County SC. My Father's name: Wane Roland Owen, born in Transylvania County,NC on July 13, 1921. His father was Loonie Owen and his mother was Sophrenia Penira Owen(Not too sure of the spelling of her name) My Mother's Name: Oma Christine Merck Owen, born in Pickens County, SC on August 19, 1920. Her father was William Iler Merck born on June 17, 1897 (probably in Pickens County) and her mother was Tirzah Gertrude Dodson Merck born on February 11,1902 also in Pickens County, SC (I think). I just started research. If anyone knows tips I can use, please let me know. All of these family members are deceased and I am having a difficult time finding out very much info from any remaining family. |
