In the Summer of 1875 two orphaned teenaged boys came from Louisiana to Atascosa County, Texas to live with their uncle, John A. Wells. The older boy, Alvis J. Robertson, had flaming red hair and his younger brother, Robert H. Robertson had brown. After they married, Robert settled in Somerset, Texas but, Alvis and his wife Sarah Alice Teague, stayed in Sand Branch. I am a great-grandson of Alvis and Sarah and interested in their ancestors and descendants. |
