Notes for Earl Watson Blain:
Earl Blain is said to have moved frequently living in "50 houses in 51 years" according to his daughter-in-law, Edna J. Smith. In a newspaper clipping of 1988, he indicates that he entered the Canadian Armed Forces on May 5, 1918 at the age of 21 and went to Wolseley Barracks in London, Ontario for training. He never went overseas as he was needed for harvest leave in the fall of 1918.
