| Searching for the roots of my family as well as those of my wife's family. So far the prodominate last names for my side of the family are: Hill, Robertson/Robinson, Grant, Wright. On my wife's side of the family, the surnames are: Woods, Watchorn, Whyte, Hawkins. I won't be able to tell anybody much about the 'Robertson' line because my Great-Grandfather changed the name from Robinson to Robertson a little over a hundred years ago. Most of the locations I have found out about are in Ontario, Canada. I have information tracing my side of the family back to two United Empire Loyalists. I would be most interested on getting information on the name Schumm. In particular ancestors of Deidrich (Frederic) Schumm, born in Hanover Germany, died on 20 April 1910 in Plaistow, England (east of London). |
