| I need in information as to the parents of RICHARD ROBERTS b. Feb. 27, 1804 in N.C, who married Mary (POLLY) WHITTEN, b. 1804 in Tenn. (?). Their children were E.K. (b.1825), WILLIAM JEHU (b.1827), A.C. (b.1829), FRANCIS MARION (b.1833), JOHN C., (b.1837), LUCINDA J. (b.1839), and GEORGE W. (b.1843). (E.K. and A. C. probably died in infancy). The family settled in DeKalb County, Alabama near Collinsville in the early 1800,s, and probably in the late teens or early 1820,s. I am researching the following surnames: Roberts, Mosteller, Winston, Miller, Summerlin, Brand, Golden, Vines, and Alexander. The families in which I am interested, have resided mostly in Alabama and Georgia for many generations, although a few have migrated to other sections of the country. Their roots are in Virginia, North Carolina and, to some extent, South Carolina and Tennessee. Thank you very much, Geo. T. Roberts |
