I am searching for information on James Monroe Roberson (1816-1896) who lived in Bledsoe County Tennessee, Pikeville. His father was also James Roberson, Sr (1784-1852). James M had a son, James Lafayette by his slave, Caroline Spring in 1848. Caroline may have been born on the plantation of Valentine Spring. James Monroe Roberson later married Selina Kendall in 1867 and had several children with her. James Lafayette, his siblings and mother, Caroline moved to Ohio by 1873. James Lafayette had 14 children: Byron, Thomas, Orville Oscar, John, James Lafayette, Walter, Carroll, Lizzie, Mattie, Carrie, Frederick, Katie, Brown Huston, and Maurice.
Please send email if anyone has slave sale records, family wills or other info in James Monroe Roberson's family which might give details on their slaves.

I am also looking for K. Neal from Murfreesbburo, TN. Also information on Willis Buckner from Winchester, KY.

Please send email if you have information.
