OBITUARY, PEARL JOHNSON AKRON, OHIO-The funeral for Pearl Jefferson Johnson, 90, 1309 Brittain Road, formerly of 116 Godfrey St., Danville, Va., will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday from the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Duane Blevins. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will recieve friends 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of her son, Fletcher P. Johnson Jr., 113 Stanley Street. Born April 17, 1905, in Davie County, N.C., she was the daughter of Joe Jefferson and Lula Taylor Jefferson. She was preseceased by her husband Fletcher P. Johnson Sr., who died Dec. 4, 1982. She spent most of her life in Danville, where she worked in the spinning room for Dan River Inc. She moved to Ohio in February 1995 to live with her daughter, Helen Huff. She was a member of riverview Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Rachel Ramsey of Nova and Helen Huff of Akron; two sons, Fletcher P. Johnson Jr. of Danville and Melvin J. Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.: 25 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren.

He was married to Pearl Jefferson Johnson, of the residence, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ervin E. Johnson, Oakland, Calif., Fletcher P. Johnson Jr., of Danville, and Melvin J. Johnson, Colonial Heights: two daughters, Rachel Craig, Colonial Heights, and Helen Huff, Akron, Ohio; 25 grandchildern, and several great-grand childern and great-great-grand childern. 123. OBITUARY, FLETCHER JOHNSON Fletcher Patterson Johnson, 82, 116 Godfrey St., Westover Hills, died Saturday morning at his residence after a five-year decline in health. He had been in serious condition for the past year. He was born Aug 22, 1900, in Elkin, N.C., a son of the late Wilford and Alice Marshall Johnson. He had lived in the Danville area for the past 72 years. He was a self-employed carpenter, and he operated the Triange Service Station for serveral years. He was a former manager of the Margraine Trailer Court, Westover Hills. He was a charter member and a deacon of the Grace Baptist Church. He was married to Pearl Jefferson Johnson, of the residence, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ervin E. Johnson, Oakland, Calif., Fletcher P. Johnson Jr., of Danville, and Melvin J. Johnson, Colonial Heights: two daughters, Rachel Craig, Colonial Heights, and Helen Huff, Akron, Ohio; 25 grandchildern, and several great-grand childern and great-great-grand childern. The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Swicegood Funeral Chapel by the Revs. Robert T. Hackworth and Rev. Lonzie Strader. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will recieve friends 7:30-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the Godfrey Street residence.
