Notes for Milton Wintermute: Milton Wintermute was born in Warren County but Milton's family later resided in Mountainville NJ. In his early married life he worked at Taylor Wharton Steel Mill in High Bridge NJ. Re later rented a farm in Parker (John Bunn's Farm) and still later he purchased a 100-acre farm in Oldwick, on Hill and Dale Rd. He was a very successful farmer and survived the Great Depression very well. He died as a result of being thrown from a horse in October 1939 and receiving a fractured skull.
His son Raymond was engaged to be married but he, too, met with a fatal accident while swimming in the Lamington River in Pottersville in July 1934.
