Funeral Service for Elizabeth A. Rarick given on 12 September 1900 in German Valley Lutheran Chuech is printed in 'Works' titled 'Funeral' Text, " They shall see His Face" Rev. 22:4. Minister at this time was William S. Delp, the same Minister that married my parents, Raymond Roberts and Lillie H. Dufford. Elizabeth was my mother's (Lillie) grandmother and my great grandmother.
The sermon states in part, "She has done what she could; Always ready and willing to do her part with both hands and heart; Faithful in her attendance at Church service; Punctual in the payment of her salary; honest toward God and man. She leaves a good example in many ways for us to follow. Believing that she has fallen asleep in Jesus, she has obtained deliverance, hope, blessedness, and everlasting life in the Kingdom of God."
