Baltes Pickel (son of Jonathan Pickle and Hanna Person) was born 07 April 1824, and died 24 November 1890. He married (1) Elizabeth Holcombe. He married (2) Annie Meeker Holcombe on 20 December 1883.

Baltes died at home in Flemington, NJ, on a Monday afternoon, after an illness of about two weeks, of Sub-acute meningitis. He worked as an miller at Everittstown, NJ where he married Elizabeth Holcombe. He was nominated and elected a member of the State Legislation twice. He lived in Trenton until after Elizabeth died. He was also land agent to Lehigh Valley Railroad Company.
He had 4 daughters, that there is no information on as of 1998
