Jana's maternal grandfather's (Howard Johnson) younger brother Tommy Johnson worked at the Bengal Lounge at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC. Grandpa got him his job when he left the Empress to work at another Hotel in Vancouver. Tommy was the Empress' first (only?) fifty year employee.
