Tom's great grandfather Jacob Clemmons Fey was born 24 Aug 1860 in West Leyden, Lewis, NY to Clemens Fey and Maria Anna Seifen (of Prussia). He headed to Montana to ranch in 1881 with his brother Anthony Henry Fey but returned to NY to marry Mary Jane Noakes 04 Jun 1884. He brought his bride back to Montana where they raised six children born between 1885 and 1894 (Tom's grandmother Mabel Clare Fey was their third born 1889). After Mary Jane died in 1904, Jake married Lena M. - she died in 1908 and Jake married Pearl Kloss in 1910 and they adopted a daughter. He was a successful rancher in Montana and also owned a mercantile. He died 04 Dec 1935 in Great Falls, MT
