Includes NotesNotes for Jens Trulsen Andrew:
In the Krødsherad book, Paul Larson of Iowa found this family described on 'Svendsplassen' (sub farm of) Redalen:

Truls Olsen Svendsplassen, born in Enderudeie 1818, marr. to Ingeborg Jensdtr born in Nes 1821. Son nr. 1 is Jens Trulsen, b. 1852, married to Kristi Kittilsdtr Langebakke, TO AMERICA 1882 with daughters Ingeborg and Sigrid. Also to America, in 1882 a sister Ingeborg [Trulsdatter] b. 1863, and in 1887, a sister Berit b. 1867.
Two brothers of Jens: Even 1856 and Tollef 1859 (who may have come to America from another location?)

From "Wheat Field's and Wild Roses - Briercrest and Districts" a 1988 Briercrest, Saskatchewan history publication; Leonard Westrum (Cleo's brother) contributed this about Jens T. Andrews and family
"Jens T. Andrews and his daughter Anna Maria came to SK Via the Soo Line to Drinkwater from McHenry, ND. They settled in the Peachey S. D.(School District) around 1903. Jens homesteaded NW 35-13-24. Anna Maria kept house for him. Jens' four sons, Oscar, James, Theodore and Karl came later.
Oscar married Olga Espelien, daughter of Ole and Guri Espelien. They farmed SW 35-13-24, before moving to Prince George, BC. They had five children. Oscar died in 1937, aged 48. Olga died in 1967.
James farmed NW 35-13-24. He built a granary that was used for dances in the summer. It is believed to be still intact in Les Duncan's yard.
Theodore and Karl did not farm here, but moved to Prince George, BC.
Anna Maria married Selmer Westrum in 1909.
Jens Andrews moved to Ettington, SK where he ran a store. Later, he also moved to Prince George, where he took another homestead. He remarried and moved to Seattle, Wash. where he died in 1927."

From Sigdalslag Genealogist Lee Rokke:
Jens Trulsen and Kristi Kittilsdtr. I have them on my index of emigrants, but up to this time I have not found anything about them in this country. I did find them on the Oslo exit list. They left Norway on board the Rollo 5 May 1882, the destination was listed as Hillsboro, and
their name was listed as Knutsen. (I have no idea where that came from, but the family was unmistakable, they were all listed.)
Your family was from Krødsherad. It was a part of the Sigdal parish until the 1900’s.
You asked about Svendsplassen. It is a husmann’s place on the farm Redalen in Krødsherad, and you will find the family listed on page 642 of the Krødsherad bygdebok.
Langebakke is a place on Ørpen, and is and is where Kristi Kittilsdtr was from. That family is on page 586. On page 586 Jens Trulsen is listed as coming from Kårmoen, which is in Flå. It would take some searching of the church records to know if he was actually born in Flå or in Krødsherad.
Enderud is a main farm and begins on page 500. The eie at the end of the farm name is a suffix that means "belongs to" and is an indication of a husmann’s place on the larger farm. Enderudeie is a place on Enderud.

From Mark Westrum's website:
Jens Andrews and his daughter Anna Maria immigrated to Canada in a boxcar of settlers effects to Drinkwater Saskatchewan from Mc Henry North Dakota. Jens left the farm in North Dakota to his eldest daughter Emma and her husband Theodore Quam and went to Saskatchewan around 1905 to sign up for a homestead prove land. He took a homestead at NW25-TSP13-RNG24 W2nd North West of the present location of Hearne ( near Les Duncan's present farm), When Selmer Westrum married Anna Maria, Jens sold his farmland and moved to Edington (near Assiniboia) and started a general store. At a later date he moved to Prince George to be near his son Oscar Andrew. He purchased seven quarters of timberland there and remarried in the early 20's. It is not known at this time who he married but there are no known children from this marrage. Selmer Westrum was informed of his passing December 15, 1927 in Seattle Washington.

Jens age 52 is found in the 1906 Census of Canada for Saskatchewan District # 12 Assiniboia West subdistrict #2a with 17 year old daughter, Mary and sons Oscar age 19, James age 15 and Carl age 13 - immigration year listed as 1905. House - 135. Post office - Briercrest. They are residing next to the Espelien family - Oscar married Olga Espelien (age 13 in 1906) in 1912

From the research of Gerd Rabben
I could not find any date of Jens Trusen Andrews emigration on your web site so I looked it up.
I found them in the church record for " utflyttet" as leaving Krødsherad May 1882 destination America.
Info from Digitalarkivet.no: They left Kristiania ( Oslo) Norway with the ship Rollo 5-5-1882. Rollo was going from Kristiania to Hull England. Theire final destination was Hillesboro. Jens traveled with wife Kristi and children Ingeborg and Ingrid. Together with them traveled Jens sister Ingeborg Trulsdatter 1863. Krødsheradboka had Ingrid named as Sigrid, that was wrong and is corrected in the new Krødsheradbøken.
