Margorie Bruce, Princess of Scotland was the daughter of Robert I Bruce, King of Scotland and Isabella, Lady of Mar. She was born circa 1297.1 She married Walter Stewart, 6th High Steward of Scotland, son of James Stewart, 5th High Steward of Scotland and Cecilia de Dunbar, in 1315. She died on 2 March 1316 at Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland, in childbirth.2 She was also reported to have died in childbirth on 19 March 1316 at Paisley, Renfrewshire. She was buried at Paisley Abbey, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland.2
She was also known as Princess Marjorie of Scotland. As of 1315, her married name was Stewart.
Margorie and her mother was taken prisioner and held for almost seven years in London, England by King Edward I.At first she was placed on display for all to see and kept there but after others thought that cruel she was placed in the care of the church there until she was released to return to Scotland.
