| This project started in 1999 with the birth of our first child. In an attempt to provide a history for our children I have found a fascinating and consuming hobby. ROBERTSON and SEEFELD lines are my husbands- I have been lucky on the Robertson line- our earliest is John Robertson b. 1744 MD. Through related lines our earlest is Martin Dubose sometime late 1300's. The Robertson's and related lines have a wonderful rich history in this country and has been a joy to uncover. Seefeld line is much more difficult. Babies born in covered wagons while traveling across the country does not make for great record keeping- but we keep trying. PARRISH and DIARMIT lines are mine. Very little was known on my family so the information I have found is treasured. My Parrish line hit a brickwall with my ggrandfather who abandoned his children after his wife died. I have been able to find his parents and also his maternal grandparents. My next step in my PARRISH search will take me to KY. My DIARMIT line is really a KY line. My grandfather was born in KY and hopped a freight train at 13 to TX. All of his family (except one brother who went to OR) remained in KY. My ggrandmother (who married James Parrish) was a Batot- they were from Alsace France and were the first settlers in a small town called D'Hanis, TX. They were apart of the Castro Colonists.
