Anna Sercy (b. April 13, 1892, d. February 10, 1971)
Anna Sercy (daughter of Louis Sercy and Kate) was born April 13, 1892 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma, and died February 10, 1971 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She married Bert Eugene Evans on November 29, 1917 in Bentenville, Arkansas, son of William Goldsmith Evans and Mary Ann Harp.
Notes for Anna Sercy: Anna and Bert had a baby boy born 09/25/1925 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and died the same day. Anna Sercy was 9 years old when her mother died. Her father had died 13 months before her mother. He died in Okmulgee or McCallister Oklahoma and buried where he died. When he died Ther \e was an epidemic. The dead were burried immedeately. Anna was raised by a German couple along with another sister. The sister ran off. Later she saved enough money and sent for Anna but the German couple would not let Anna go. Anna had to work in the fields as well as get the cows in. She was petite. While the sister lived with the Germam couple, she did the housework and cooking. Anna's baby brother was raised by an uncle. Anna's daugter, Betty Jane says she thinks her grandfather was French. He lived in Canada and then went to New Orleanw ( Cajon ). Heworked on the railroad and met the grandmother in Arkansas. Thiswould be Louis and Kate Sercy.
