Notes for James Wesley Shives II: Jim was a farmer by trade, and a very, very good one at that. He used to go off on trips buying, selling and trading horses, and the story goes that he always came out on top in his trade.
Jim and Daisy bought a 240 acre farm just inside the Graig County line in Oklahoma. They lived and raised their family on this farm. In the early 1930's Jim and sold the farm and bought a smaller farm in Rogers County, Oklahoma, a mile north of the Timber Ridge Church on old Highway 33.
James II buried in Timpson Chapel Cemetery at White Oak, Oklahoma beside Daisy.
