Instructions on How to View and Utilize the InterneTree
Based upon some e-mail I have received, there appears to be some confusion on how to view and utilize the InterneTree listed under My Family History. Below you will find instructions that should make your visit to the InterneTree more pleasurable and informational.
- Left click on the InterneTree listed under My Family History. After a short time a window will appear. The primary individual initially shown on the InterneTree is the lowest one alphabetically in the list of surnames.
- To change the InterneTree view left click on Search in the upper left hand corner and then left click on Find Person. This will open a drop down window with a list of all individuals that are included in the Home Page. They will be listed alphabetically by surname.
- Scroll up or down until you find the individual you are interested in. Left click on this individual. You will then see a list to the right that lists facts about this individual.
- Left click on OK. This will make this individual the primary individual and the InterneTree will change showing them as the primary individual with all descendants listed in order.
- To view all facts and notes about anyone listed in the InterneTree, double left click on the individual you are interested in knowing more about.
- Left click on the Minimize button for the InterneTree, which will send it down to the Taskbar. Now you will see a report that will list all facts, notes and related links for this individual.
- To find out about someone else in this tree, left click on the InterneTree icon down in the Taskbar. This will re-open the InterneTree. You can then select a different individual as instructed above, or you can go back to Search – Find Person and select a different person to become the primary individual for the InterneTree.
Remember that you will not see any information on living individuals other than their name. This is to protect the privacy of individuals that are still living.
I hope that these instructions are explanatory enough. If you have any problems or you still aren’t sure how to navigate the InterneTree please let me know and I’ll do my best to help you out. Enjoy!!!!!
