2. RICHARD W.² ROBISON (MYERS¹) was born May 13, 1852 in Finger, McNairy County, Tennessee, and died July 2, 1913 in Eightmile, Morrow County, Oregon. He married MARTHA JANE SWAIN November 13, 1872 in Finger, McNairy County, Tennessee, daughter of SERGENT SWAIN and ELIZABETH WALDROUP. She was born February 11, 1854 in McNairy County, Tennessee, and died November 17, 1942 in Condon, Gilliam County, Oregon.

Notes for RICHARD W. ROBISON:
There are several middle names for Richard Robison I have come across. They are Washington, Walter and William. I'm not sure which one is correct.

After Richard and Martha (Swain) were married in 1872, they began to work thier way West. Along the way they lived in Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas. They finally arrived in Oregon around 1883 and settled in the small community of Eightmile near Hardman. He was the Postmaster of Eightmile for several years.

On the day of Richard's death, he and his son Walter had taken two teams of horse and wagon to go into the community of Ione to pickup a load of fruit to can for the winter preserves. On the way back home Richard's team ran away with him. By the time Walter caught up with him the wagon had overturned and Richard had struck his head on a rock and was killed.
