1. According to "Teter Descendants": "Hans Michael was a general magistrate in 1699. In 1702 , he was tax and fee collector, and church warden. He became First Magistrate and Deputy of Mayor in 1710. In the Schwaigern Witch Trials (1712-1716), he was third ranking after the High-Earl of Neipperg and attorney Johann Balthasar Muller."

It goes on to state: "Hans Michael Dieter made a will in 1716 in which he mentions four children; and in 1724, after the death of his first wife, he made another will listing three children. About the middle of the year 1724, Hans Michael was entrusted with the office of Mayor by the Lord of Neipperg. He was Mayor of Schwaigern at his death, 2 May 1734. From the 'Inventory and Partition 1733-1734, Archives of Schwaigern, Germany,' page 2906: 'Herewith is to be remembered that the deceased, Mayor Hans Michael Dieter, was bound in serfdom to the Most Gracious High-Earl and Lordship of Neipperg for which the three heirs must provide and pay out from his estate in equal parts twenty guilders.'
