Leah Arnold was born in Copiah County, Mississippi on November 25, 1888, to parents Eliza Haney and Edgar Arnold. Leah married Frank Amos in Copiah County, Mississippi, on November 30, 1906. She and Frank were the parents of eleven children, seven daughters and four sons. Leah died on January 21, 1961, while living in Hammond, Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana with her daughter Ethel Mae and her husband Fred Lee Major.
