Arcada Elizabeth Moak was born in Mississippi, on February 18, 1849. She was the daughter of John Moak and Nancy Roberts. Arcada was the wife of Constantine Montgomery, and the mother of William Rufus, Martha, Nancy C. "Nannie", Lewis O., Caldonia, Mary Blanche, Elena, Lorena and two other sons who died young. She died in Lincoln County, Mississippi, on July 4, 1924, and she is buried in the family cemetery near their home which is said to have been built more than two hundred years ago.
