The Rochon's of Ontario, Canada
I am currently researching the names ROCHON, QUEVILLON, DUBE, NOEL, LIZOTTE, MOAR, HATTEN among many others. My information is online at http://www.gencircles.com/ftm/rochon/1 The Rochon's lived in Cyrville, Carleton County, Ontario in 1899 when my grandfather, Adelard was born. His father was Maxime and mother was Adeline Quevillon. Siblings were Albert, Aime, Yvonne and Marianne. The family moved to Ponteix, Saskatchewan in 1918.Adelard married Marie Adelaide Dube in 1925. The Dube's lived in Scotstown, Quebec in 1894 when Marie Adelaide was born. Her parents were Philias and Adelaide Noel. They moved to Rhode Island then to Ponteix in 1916.Siblings were Philias, Alvila, Marie (yes another one), Georgiana, Leah and Leger. The Moars and Hattens are from the Algoma District, namely Sault Ste. Marie and Desbarats, Ontario areas. My Moars worked for the Hudson's Bay Company since 1786 when Andrew Moar came from Birsay, Orkney, Scotland. He was married to a Cree woman named Imockquay and had about 7 children that we know of. If you have any information, please contact me.I would be more than happy to share any information I have.Thank you. | The Rochon's of Ontario, Canada Updated February 18, 2009 |
