He married MAGDALENA BRENEMAN61,62,63 1787 in Rockingham Co., VA, daughter of ABRAHAM BRENEMAN and MARIE REIFF. She was born 06 Dec 1770 in Edom, Rockingham Co., VA, and died 20 Aug 1851 in Rockingham Co., VA.

Notes for FREDERICK (RODE) RHODES:
This author speculates that Frederick and Magdalena had two
other children that died at a young age. The children
speculated are based on two Rhodes' buried in the Frederick
line at Early Cemetery that are unidentified. These
individuals are as follows:
1. Abraham, died 9/6/1804, buried at Early
Cemetery in Rockingham Co., VA. Beside Grandmother
Magdalena Ettinger and Anna Rodes (1791-1824). It is
speculated that Abraham was the first or second born male in
the family named after Frederick's wife's father- Abraham
Breneman
2. Anne (born 2/17/1791, died 11/28/1824) buried
at Early Cemetery in Rockingham Co., VA beside
Abraham and Samuel (1806-1841). Likely the first
child born in the family.

Frederick was listed as Frederick Roads on page 133, #259 of
the Rockingham Co., VA Census of 1810. Those listed in the
household were as follows:
One Male under 10 (son Samuel)
Two Males 10-15 (sons Anthony and John)
One Male 26-44 (Frederick-head)
One Female under 10 (daughter Frances?)
Two Females 16-25 (daughters Elizabeth & Anne?)
One Female 26-44 (Magdalena-wife)
Frederick was listed as Frederic Roads on page 158, #1452 of
the Rockingham Co., Va Census of 1820. Those listed in the
household were as follows:
One Male under 10 (son Frederick)
Two Males 10-15 (son Samuel and ???)
One Male 18-25 (son John)
One Male over 45 (Frederick- head)
One Female 10-15 (daughter Frances?)
One Female 25-45 (possibly unproven daughter
