We are continuing to do research for the Roemhildt family tree. Members of the Roemhildt family came from Germany (Bohlen) in the mid 1800s. The tree has been traced back to Johann Christian Roemhildt to Heinrich Roemhildt to Traugott Roemhildt to Herman Franz Roemhildt who was born in 1858 in Elysian, Minnesota. The tree is fairly complete after that point. Other names in the family past include Sasse, Gensmer, Werlich and Wohlfart. A reunion for the family will be held in southern Minnesota during the 4th of July weekend (1997). To date (4/19/97), approximately 100 people will be attending for the decendents of Herman Franz Roemhildt. Any interest or help would be much appreciated. |
