Research for this page was accomplished by many people and sources. James L Lovvorn deceased was instrumental in my getting involved in genealogy research. I have some of his information as well as direct family dialogue with my father and others. My father Wm. Barnes Lovvorn was born in Bowdon, Ga in 1884. His father Rev.Wm. Jeptha Lovvorn was born in Newman county, Alabama,in 1860. His father was Wm. Daniel Lovvorn, born in Henry County, Ga. in 1831. He was raised in Alabama and moved to Bowdon, Ga. in 1878. He was written up in the "Memoirs of Georgia, 1895 edition. His father was James Lovvorn Jr, son of James Lovvorn, son of Thomas Lovvorn who migrated from N.C. to Ga. His father was Elijah Lovvorn believed to have immigrated from Ireland to Virginia.
