Researching the family of my gg grandfather Wilson ROGERS, born January 22 1843 in Mississippi, the son of George W. ROGERS (1817-). Wilson married (1) Sarah Elizabeth WILLIAMSON (1848-) in Burleson County, Texas on October 14, 1863. Sarah was the daughter of Stephen WILLIAMSON & Sarah "Sally" SWEETON, two children were born to Wilson & Sarah, they were Daniel Martin (1866-1955) and Stephen Edgar (1869-). Wilson married (2) Prudy Jane WILLIAMSON (1851-1923) on October 30, 1872 in Coryell County, Texas. Prudy was the daughter of Thomas WILLIAMSON (1822-1900) & Lucinda MILLER (1826-1918). Six known children were to Wilson & Prudy, they were William Thomas (1873-1936), George Washington (1875-1912), Marion Allen (1877-1943), John Wilson (1882-1969), Leila and Amy/Amie (male).
Wilson was a farmer and a circuit-riding Methodist minister. He died in Llano County, Texas on May 26, 1899 and is buried in Flat Rock Cemetery in Lone Grove, Llano County, Texas.
