My family came to Canada in the early 1800s from Ireland but it is unknown from where. Most likely there are still warrants outstanding LOL! My GG/Grandfather was William Rogers and he was married to Mary Patterson and both were born in Ontario. All that is known about these two are they were both from Ontario. They had at least one son, James W Rogers born about July 25th, 1867.I believe that this might have been in Huron County, Ontario.James was listed in the 1901 Canadian census living in Two Oaks in the Marquette District. He was married to Margaret Jane Lindsay (Jennie)from Hamiota and they had one daughter, Eva May born in 1900.they eventually had five children all together. They lived with John James who also married a Lindsay girl, Elizabeth(Lizzie).I belive that John James and James Rogers were related and possibly were raised together in Ontario. In 1885 there is a James family and a Rogers family living on the same land in Huron County. That is all I know. James died in Saskatoon in 1925 cause unknown as of yet.He worked for the CNR and was in Dauphin in 1904 and Melville in 1911.They had the following children, Clarence, Wilfred, Belle, Laura and Eva May. Any help would be appreciated Don Rogers [email protected] Gleichen Alberta, Canada
