Descendants of John Capps

Generation No. 1

1. JOHN1 CAPPS died in South Carolina. He married JANE.

Notes for J
OHN CAPPS:
Lived near the headwaters of Black River, Sumter County, S. C. in the mid 1700's. He was a soldier of the Rev. War and served in the SC State Militia in 1782. He was granted 200 acres of land in Camden/Kershaw Dist.

Most of this information on the Capps came from the Internet under GenForum for different people, mostly Kathyn Capps. She got the information from a book from "The Brunson, Johnson, Tisdale, Capps Families of Crenshaw County, Alabama" by Mr. Thomas Heflin Compton.
