Col. Clell Perkins was well known Around the Croton area in his day, a decorated war hero of the time. US ARMY decorated many times over, His fate after the War he settled in his home area of Croton Ohio and had a large farm there. He
had a severe argument with a tennant farmer. and was shot to death by the man a very sad ending to the life of a Decorated War Hero, to return home after the big war and to be shot to death at home. there were several articles published in the Newark and Mt Vernon and Granville papers of the time in regard to his decorations and of his shooting Death.
