Amanda Malinda Carson (daughter of Joseph Richard Carson and Sarah Odelia Carson)^{10, 11} was born August 27, 1887 in Hamilton, Texas^{12, 13}, and died March 24, 1972 in Denver, Arapahoe County, Colorado^{14, 15, 16}. She married William Franklin Tyler on September 04, 1915 in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas^{17, 18, 19, 20}, son of William Lafayette Tyler and Frances Forbes.

Her parents both had last name of Carson, for many years it was thought the two Carson lines were unrelated however, compiler has since learned that Nathan Franklin Carson descended from Thomas Gibson Carson Sr. and Margaret McDowell, making one family line of Carsons, his borther Adam C. Carson b. 1764 was the father of Joseph Thomas Carson, who was the father of Joseph Richard Carson that Sarah Odelia Carson married.) Birth information taken from her birth certificate.

The 1920 U.S. Census incorrectly shows her name to be Alma.

Acording to family information, Milton D. Tyler, Sr. his mother was living in College Station, Texas in 1911 and there was a lot of construction going on at the time and her sister Alveeta "Hattie" lived in Waco, Texas she sent a postcard and worked at Boys Hall, Methodist Orphange, Waco, Texas, her sister "Jennie" was also living in Waco about this time. "Amma" worked at the post office in College station and met a man she planned to marry when her sister became terribly ill and asked her to marry Mr. Tyler and raise her children. She did.

She died in St. Joseph Hospital in Denver Colorado, buried in Fairmont Cemetery SEction 6, Lot 149, Block 96
