Thomas Roe Curtis (son of Samuel Roe Curtis, Sr. and Sarah Hicks) was born February 14, 1796 in Anson County, North Carolina, and died March 02, 1867 in Redland, Leon County, Texas. He married Nancy Lucy on March 28, 1816 in Montgomery County, Tennessee, daughter of Cadwalder W. Lucy and Jane Blakeney.
Notes for Thomas Roe Curtis: The Curtis Cemetery is located at Redland, Leon Co., Texas off Hwy 7, about 1/2mile north on a dirt road, on the right. It is about 300 yards through two gates to the old homestead of Thomas Roe Curtis. This land is now owned by a Mr. J. B. Burney, who lives in a brick home at Redland on Hwy 7, just across from the dirt road that goes up to the land.
