John Routley aged 52 yrs Head of Household, was occupied as Boot & Shoe maker, married to Elizabeth M. Routley aged 50 yrs, born Middlesex Bond St. London. Also listed were John Routley aged 27 yrs also a shoemaker, Elizabeth aged 18 a "diefsmaker" ?lacemaker and Ellen aged 1yrs.

1851: Census of Devon indicated a John and Elizabeth and child Ellen aged 1? according to HW Boon an Ellen Routley was born 1840 making the error to be 11 yrs?

According to Earl Keith Routley John was musical and played the cello. The 1841 census at Newport St. has him age 40 and with listing of 8 children. The 1851 census for Newport St. also lists Elizabeth aged 18.
