The Thorns of Aston Rowant/Little and Great Missenden and connected families have been subscribed to the I.G.I. by a patron or L.D.S. member. The wider Oxlade Clan have married into a number of these families and it may be that John Thorn was a relative or connection of the Oxlades of Aston Rowant.
