2. Jeremiah³ Everett (Simeon², Rawleigh¹). He married Alay Saunders.

Notes for Jeremiah Everett:
According to the research done by Debbie Bascom, it is believed that Jeremiah was the father of John S. Everett and siblings. Jeremiah owned and operated a mill on Beaver Creek in Barren Co.,Kentucky. He bought 200 acres in Barren County, Kentucky August 28, 1798, (Book 12, p. 467). He sold his property in the late 1820's and moved to the Cherokee Purchase in Tennessee. In 1830 he is listed in Wayne County Missouri, next to Thomas Everett. An article stated that Jeremiah had several children and that one of them was named John. Jeremiah had several brothers- Jesse, William, Samuel, and Jeremiah's father was Simeon Everett. Jesse's children bear the same names as those in our family in Barren Co.,Kentucky- Ewell, Bart, Thomas, and John. they are used either as a first or middle name.
Jeremiah's wife's maiden name was Saunders which fits with ours since Saunders is used as a middle name; John Saunders Everett.
In 1831 Jeremiah and Thomas are listed in Izard County, Arkansas tax records. John is also listed there the following year.
Thomas Ewell Everett was born in 1800 in Barren County, Kentucky and the only Everett in the county at that time was Jeremiah Everett.. In 1830, both Jeremiah and Thomas were in Wayne County, Missouri.
In 1765 in Tyrrell County, North Carolina, Nathaniel Everett is named as a son in Joshua Everett's will . In Tyrrell Co. in 1782, Jeremiah is named as a son in Nathaniel's will. In 1790, Jeremiah is listed in the census.

Children of Jeremiah Everett and Alay Saunders are:

Jesse N.⁴ Everett.

Union Everett. She married Isaac William Kester.
