Thomas Elwood Taylor (b. January 12, 1856, d. February 02, 1920)

Thomas Elwood Taylor (son of Joshua Taylor and Mary E. Comfort) was born January 12, 1856 in Tecumseh, Michigan, and died February 02, 1920. He married Ida Flora Hull on May 24, 1882, daughter of George Lafayette Hull and Isabella McFarlane.

Notes for Thomas Elwood Taylor:
Thomas was the first obstetrician in the Colorado Territory. He had an office in Denver, but often went out on horseback to other areas to deliver babies. The family also had a homestead. Ida Taylor and her three children were snowbound for a week during the great blizzard of 1888 until Thomas could get out from denver to rescue them. Thomas died of a heart attack.
