| Welcome to the our Rohde Family Heritage page. My name is Robert Rohde and me and my mom have been tracing our families lineage for fun. We've tried to be through and careful, but things here aren't as well documented as a professional might want so be careful when using this information in your own family tree. We now live in Dallas, but my parents come from Ohio and New York. My father is descended from two sets of immigrants. The first with surnames Rohde and Gospodareck come from Prechlau, Germany (modern day Poland). The second group (McKay & Farley) were Irish Catholics out of Belfast, Ireland. My mother comes from German, Scottish, Irish and English descent, most of whom immigrated to the US in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The recent surnames on her side are Kiefer, Herron, Billings, and Taylor. |
