Looking for Jacob Roll Sr.,and his Ohio past.Jacob was born in Oh. in 1835. His parents, unknown , were not born in this country. Oral history has their origin as Germany-Alsace area. He married Catherine Wittman on July 7,1859 at Holy Cross Church, Columbus,Ohio. Catherine Wittman was born in 1837 at Bayern {Germany},parents Peter Wittman and Barbara Feder. Jacob and Catherine's first two children, Frank X. and Joseph Roll were born in Ohio about 1863 to 1865. The following children were born in Newport,KY beginning in 1867 Albert,Mary,Clara,Jacob jr.
