Hello and welcome to my family site! Along with other family members, I have come up with some information on the branches of our family. It begins with my parents, Eyrse and Jones, and works its way backwards through various families. Some surnames are: Eyrse, Jones, Janes, Marshall, Sutton, Henry, Rawlings, Lewis, Reel, Tanner, Waltrip, Overton, Fox, Spannagel, Nicodemus, Kull, Roberts, Rowley, and so on. We are from mostly Illinois after the 1850's but before that from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Virginia and many are from Germany and England. I ask that if you find something that is wrong or just doesn't look quite right, email me. This is an ongoing project and I've tried to document as many sources as I can. I'm constantly finding new information and adding people, events, places and more. It has taken about eleven years for me to get what I have together on this site and much more. I could only upload 2,000 members and I have over 17,000 (no kiddin') in the file. So if you see something you want more information on or if you have more to offer, let me know. That is what keeps this going. When I first started this trek into the past, I didn't realize there were other people in the distant family who were also on this same journey. I've been in touch with so many of you and it has made this wonderful. The Eyrse family I owe much to Henry Perce. Henry started working the family from Texas and put a wonderful book together than has proven a worthy resource. Henry passed away and I really miss chatting about the history with him. There are a few websites that I do want to mention that are a great resource to a lot of people. I'm a volunteer for both of these projects here in Illinois and in a few other states as well. www.RAOGK.com Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness (RAOGK)is a SUPER site for asking and recieving lookups all around the world. www.findagrave.com Find A Grave (FAG) is a project that connects tombstone hunters with photos. Thank you to all of the family, cousins, and online family and friends who have helped me out. This cannot be done without a lot of help! Family are those who you love, not necessarily who is blood! |
