Find Family
My search began because my parents had bothed passed away while still in their prime. I didn't think to ask them then, what I want so much to know now. My father never knew his real father, and that is what my original search was, to find who my grandfather was. But since that search began in 1998, I have found so much more than I had anticipated. I have found distant and not so distant cousins, willing to share any information they might have. To all of you I say thank you!! I still have not found out a lot of information on the man I originally set out to find, a Martin Edgerton, but I have located pictures, stories, and so much more about my father's mother and her descendents. It has become a very exciting hobby. I have made one trip to my parent's hometowns in Kentucky and I plan on making more. So here is the history of my father and mother. You will see many surnames, but the most prominent will be the following: Thornsberry, Thornsbury, Prater, Bates, Vanderpool, Martin. Happy Searching!!
